Almost everyone that attends a cosplay event is safe and just celebrating their fandom too; however, the few people who are looking to find people to take advantage of require this to be our top rule.
Remember, if you ever feel uncomfortable just say ‘No Thank You’, and pass on the opportunity to work with a given photographer.

One of my favorite techniques for understanding my character is to do an Instagram search for #cosplay and the character that I’m doing for a show. This way I can see how other people have posed. This lets me know what worked well and what didn’t.
